DC movies release date: When are all the next DC movies coming out?

DC COMICS adaptations by Warner Bros have floundered more than they have succeeded. When are all the next DC movies coming out?

Under the helm of Warner Bros, DC Comics has not been wholly successful.

Where Marvel has managed to make a shared universe work undeniably well, Warner Bros has floundered.

Wonder Woman was the stand out success of the DC adaptations.

Only time will tell if Warner Bros be able to replicate its success with their upcoming movies - here's a list of the titles coming out soon.

Aquaman stars Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry, aka the rightful king of Atlantis.

It has a release date of December 14, 2018, and is the only DC vehicle from Warner Bros for the rest of the year.

The first DC release in 2019 is the long-awaited excitingly goofy Shazam!

Shazam! has a release date of April 5, 2019, and stars Zachary Levi in the eponymous role.

The Joaquin Phoenix version of Joker will be in cinemas on October 4, 2019.

The Joker movie is set to be a character study of sorts, with a darker edge than the other Warner Bros DC adaptations.

Wonder Woman 1984

The hotly anticipated Wonder Woman sequel, with Patty Jenkins once again at the helm, will be released on November 1, 2019.

Gal Gadot returns as the superhero, with Chris Pine somehow also returning, though as whom remains to be seen.

Green Lantern Corps

A new take on the Green Lantern will be the first release in 2020, with a release date of July 24.

This version, sans-Ryan Reynolds, is the last confirmed release of the upcoming DC films.

Upcoming DC adaptations currently in the lurch include The Batman, directed by Matt Reeves and supposedly starring Ben Affleck, JK Simmons, Joe Manganiello, Jeremy Irons.

Affleck's likelihood of reprising the role is up in the air, however.

Man of Steel 2

Recent rumours have led to many speculating Henry Cavill will be stepping away from the role of Superman, with a WB source confirming the studio's focus is shifting to a Supergirl movie.

Cavill responded, sort of, to these rumours by posting a cryptic Instagram video.

Upcoming movies which are confirmed but have no release date include Suicide Squad 2, Supergirl, Birds of Prey, Black Adam, and The Flash: Flashpoint.

Several other Joker spin-offs are also said to be in the works, including an untitled Harley Quinn and Joker movie and a Jared Leto Joker stand-alone movie.
