FIFA World Cup 2018: Female TV presenter grabbed and kissed by Sweden fans live on air – days after similar incident

Swedish reporter Malin Wahlberg swamped by supporters making their way to a game just days after a Colombian correspondent was targeted on camera

A SWEDISH television reporter has been kissed and grabbed live on air in Russia - days after a Colombian reporter was targeted on camera.

Last week there was fury when Colombian correspondent Julieth Gonzalez Theran was had her breast touched by a fan while she was broadcasting.

And now footage has emerged of another woman being targeted for unacceptable attention while she was filing a report on camera.

Mahlin Wahlberg was attempting to broadcast back to her native Sweden ahead of the country's opening World Cup match against South Korea.
But while she spoke, one brazen Swedish fan jumped from the crowd making their way to the match in Nizhny Novgorod to grab her and plant a kiss on her.

Mahlin shrugs off the attention to continue making her broadcast, but is then mobbed by several others grabbing and touching her inappropriately.

The journalist, who works for Swedish outlet Sportbladet, managed to keep her composure to conclude her report.

But the site of a second female reporter being mauled by football fans, on the pretence of banter, has not gone down well.

There are now increasing concerns about the safety of journalists who are inappropriately jostled by supporters.

The man who shamed himself by being overly physical with Gonzalez Theran last week has since come forward to admit his remorse.

Identifying himself only as Ruslan, he revealed he had conducted a Skype conversation with the reporter to apologise for his actions.

He claims he did not mean to grab her breast, and only approached the reporter to win a bet with friends.

He said: "I thought I put my hands on her shoulders, but apparently I missed a little and touched her chest with my left hand.

"I would not have believed it myself, but having looked at the video I realise that it looked ambiguous from the side."
