Cristiano Ronaldo: Real Madrid star 'demands FIVE players be cut' - one surprise inclusion

Cristiano Ronaldo has made it clear to Real Madrid chiefs the five players he does not want in the team next season, according to reports in Spain.

Los Blancos are expected to undergo a major squad revamp in the summer, according to several reports.

And club president Florentino Perez is concerned by the ageing problem in his side.

Their poor showing in La Liga has led many to believe that Zinedine Zidane could be axed at the end of the season too.

However, Real’s form in Europe could save the Frenchman his job - where they are in the Champions League final.

They face Liverpool, who have been rampant in Europe where the brilliant Mohamed Salah has caused devastating effect.

Madrid, though, will be aiming to win the tournament three times in a row and even if they do, Ronaldo expects big changes.
The Portuguese superstar is a powerful figure at the club due to his stature in the game, and has made several squad cuts, reports in Spain say.

According to Don Balon, Dani Ceballos, Marcos Llorente, Jesus Vallejo and Borja Mayoral have been told they are not wanted at the club by Ronaldo.

And one surprise name included in the list is Gareth Bale, who has been linked with a move away.

This season, the Welshman has become a peripheral figure at the club, with the likes of Isco and Marco Asensio preferred instead.

Clubs in England are interested in his services, including Manchester United and Chelsea.

Ronaldo, on the other hand, is in a race against time to prove his fitness for the Champions League final.

The 33-year-old hobbled off during El Clasico earlier this month and Zidane has not revealed the full extent of his injury.

The two European titans go head-to-head on May 26 in Kiev.
