WWE news: Randy Orton challenges Avengers: Infinity War star Batista for WrestleMania bout

Randy Orton teased a big WrestleMania match against Batista.

Orton watched Avengers: Infinity War twice and insists the movie looked amazing both times.

Batista stars in the record-breaking blockbuster film as The Guardians of the Galaxy’s Drax The Destroyer.

Orton was inspired by the movie so much he feels that another Mania clash with The Animal would make history.

The Viper tweeted: “Avengers 3 was just as great the second time around! Who knows maybe I could headline #WrestleMania with #drax @DaveBautista someday.”
The 13-time world champion and Batista made a name for themselves when they joined Evolution alongside Triple H and Ric Flair in the early 2000s.

They also had some intense rivalries against each other and faced off at WrestleMania 30 in a Triple Threat Match for the WWE Championship that was won by Daniel Bryan.

Batista revealed that WWE wanted him to return at WrestleMania 34 to team up with Ronda Rousey against Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.

The six-time world champion was very keen on the idea as long as WWE presented it as a platform to build towards his retirement match at WrestleMania 35 against Triple H.

However, Vince McMahon’s promotion never called him back and the part was given to Kurt Angle.

The 49-year-old Hollywood star says the professional wrestling giants are not making things easy with regards to a possible in-ring return.

He nevertheless enjoys a bright career in Hollywood as he has featured in Guardians of the Galaxy and Spectre. (New York Post)
