Man Utd transfer news: Neymar ‘agrees' Old Trafford move - huge rumour circles in Spain

Neymar has apparently given the go-ahead for a summer switch to Manchester United.

Spanish outlet Don Balon are reporting that Neymar would rather move to Manchester United because the challenge of the Premier League seduces him.

And the extraordinary report says that a deal to take him to United has been agreed.

If true, the transfer would be the biggest shock in football history - and would likely break the transfer record he himself set when he moved to PSG.

United boss Jose Mourinho is expected to have another transfer war-chest to play with as he attempts to challenge for the league title next term.

Neymar has had a number of on-field spats with team-mate Edinson Cavani and he has been heavily linked with a move away from the Parc des Princes.

Real Madrid were said to be interested in taking the attacker back to La Liga as they bid to close the gap to Barcelona.

But Mourinho has surprisingly been tipped to beat his former side to the 26-year-old’s signature.

Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford’s futures are up in the air so the Portuguese boss is said in the market for more attacking players.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic also left the club last month to join LA Galaxy.

Don Balon say the prospect of playing under the Mourinho is more tempting for Neymar than moving to the Bernabeu.

He could receive a frosty reception from the Spanish club’s fans because of his history with arch-rivals Barcelona.

Untied would be forced to break the all-time transfer fee to tempt PSG to part with their forward.

But as things stand, Neymar apparently would prefer a move to Old Trafford than Real. (New York Post)
