Rumor: WWE Hinted At Superstar Shakeup Changes In WrestleMania Program

With the Superstar Shakeup just around the corner, some keen-eyed fans spotted some names on the wrong brand in their WrestleMania programs.

This week on Raw and SmackDown Live will mark the 2018 edition of the Superstar Shakeup, but which men and women will be switching brands?

During the summer of 2016, Vince McMahon reintroduced the draft to WWE, but this time around it has been unlike the manifestations that have come before it. Rather than Raw being treated like the be all and end all like it has been in the past, SmackDown was moved to Tuesday nights so that it could air live each week for the first time ever and was also given its fair share of big-time names.
Instead of starting from scratch and having a whole new draft every single year  McMahon has introduced something he has labeled a Superstar Shakeup. A handful of wrestlers move from Raw to SmackDown Live and vice versa. It happened shortly after WrestleMania last year, and this week marks the second shakeup and will happen across both Monday and Tuesday night.

As of right now, we have no idea who will be switching brands but we can throw out an educated guess of course. There have also been some clues as to who may be on the move too and one of them was pointed out by a recent caller to Wrestling Observer Radio. The fan pointed out that in the WrestleMania 34 program it looked as if AJ Styles, The New Day, Naomi, and Jinder Mahal will soon be on Raw. Meanwhile, Roman Reigns, Finn Balor, and Asuka were on the blue side of things.

Obviously, clues like these ones could be a hint on WWE's part or they could mean absolutely nothing. If the above changes do turn out to be correct though it will make for some very interesting angles in the months ahead. Reigns moving to Tuesday nights would be the biggest shock if it does happen, especially since he is wrestling Brock Lesnar for the Universal Title in a couple of weeks and then taking on Samoa Joe at Backlash.

At the end of the day, what happens on Raw and SmackDown Live this week will be kept under wraps until it actually happens. Even if the Superstars mentioned above were originally scheduled to switch brands then McMahon may have changed his mind on that since then, especially since people have figured out the plan if there indeed was one. Now, the information is out there the boss will likely be even more eager to swerve us.
